This second course, in a series, focuses on an already basic understanding of meteorology. We will focus on tools used to help empower the emergency responders’ decision-making skills while on the job (ie. reading weather maps, Satellite/Radar, more advanced storm spotting skills, etc.)
NOTE: It is highly recommended, but not required, to take Weather 101 for Emergency Responders I, which is a basic introductory course in meteorology. If you have had a college level introductory meteorology course, you should be fine with skipping the first course and starting here. If you need a meteorology refresher, you are welcomed to take the first course.
